About the position...

Our Residence Managers (RM) provide oversight to staff and individuals supported in assigned residence(s), support the personal growth and independence of individuals with developmental disabilities while assuring a healthy, safe, sanitary, living environment. Our RM's develop, implement and monitor Residential Habilitation plans and Protective Oversight Plans as part of the Person Centered Plan (ISP) for each individual. This role requires knowledge in and compliance with various regulatory agencies and agency policies and procedures.

The RM provides direction to a team of Direct Support Professionals and an Assistant Residence Mananger. This includes assuring adequate staffing to meet the needs of people supported, including interviewing, hiring, training, and development of the team, andcan assume direct care responsibilities on an as needed basis during staffing shortages or increased needs of individuals receiving services.

You must possess an Associates degree in Human Services or related field and one year supervisory experience working with individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities OR High School Diploma/GED and 3 years supervisory experience working with individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities. A combination of education and experience may be considered.

You must be able to lift 20 lbs or more and physically assist individuals who utilize wheelchairs and walkers. Must possess a current, valid New York State Driver's License that meets the agency driver standards. Must pass applicable background and reference checks.

The hours are Monday-Friday 8:00 a. m.-4:00 p. m. with flexibility to meet program need.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
